The frame is constructed of high tensile strength steel, using parallel side members with a "C" cross-section, as in bigger trucks, for even greater rigidity. Having already determined the international success of the Daily, the frame is now giving the City Truck a new lightness, thanks to the use of leading-edge materials and technology. It has also been lowered, without sacrificing any of its strength, by adopting a new "swan-neck" design. And thanks to innovative axles and new parabolic suspension, the kerb weight is lighter than ever. So, the entire load on board the Daily is supported directly by the chassis - in other words, it does not need the body structure for support, as is normally the case in cars and other vans.
